The Hungarian flyer died when his parachute failed to deploy after he jumped from a mountain cliff 100 metres high up in Zhangjiajie National Park on Tuesday. State news agency Xinhau reported around 200 firefighters and police officers were involved in the search for his body. Initial investigations said the cause of Kovats' accident may have been a "technical problem during the trial." Kovats was an experienced wingsuit flyer having completed 700 flights and 125 skydives since taking up the sport 6 years ago. He was due to take part in the second World Wingsuit Championship this week in Tianmen mountain where participants have to jump from 700-metre-high cliffs. 17.11.13 Hike and Fly Gimmela

A nice little hike and normally longer flight down but the fog was not clearing up so it was a shorther flight this time. Was a really nice and sunny day.
Speedflying in Switzerland needs a license it is regulated by the Swiss Hanggliding & Paragliding Association SHPA

Novembre nous emporte cette année sur de beaux Freeride en snowkite, parfois mytiques comme les 3 Evéchés.
Novembre, ce sont des sessions de snowkite dans des paysages de montagne qui ne nous laissent jamais indifférent, souvent à plus de 2000 m d'altitude;
Novembre met la barre assez haute avec des sessions dans la poudre, à plusieurs reprises avec de belles windlips...et donne le ton pour une saison qui s'annonce plutôt ...top !
