Sean Kerridge Speed Flying Accident Posted: 18 Feb 2012 04:57 AM PST Sean Kerridge was involved in a Speed Flying accident on February 16th. I posted a BSBD posting for Sean http://www.blincmagazine.com/forum/b...-kerridge.html But I found out about the exact cause of his death was Traumatic aortic rupture: Traumatic aortic rupture - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia What I really want to explore is whether this could have been prevented? I understand this is caused from a massive impact such this is very common in car crashes. But I wonder if a spine or breastplate/sternum protector can offer any protection for this type of injury? Can anyone shed some facts/knowledge on this topic?
